#TravelTuesday - One of our fave places to visit on a USA fly drive holiday - Death Valley National Park.

#TravelTuesday - One of our fave places to visit on a USA 🇺🇸 fly drive holiday - Death Valley National Park. Classic USA road-trip 🚗 country, Death Valley National Park is harsh and barren yet full of natural beauty and stunning vistas, with the lowest point in the US along with the highest temperatures ever recorded. Furnace Creek 🥵 is at the heart of the park, with points such as Zabriskie Point and Mosaic Canyon offering spectacular scenery. As you head north from Death Valley the altitude increases and the temperatures drop, heading towards the massive Sierra Nevada mountains. To the south, the Mojave National Preserve is the epitome of ‘middle of nowhere’, dotted with Joshua trees, volcanic cones and desert wildlife. This region of the USA offers diverse landscapes and stunning scenery - beware of seriously high temperatures in the summer, but for a few days of open spaces and desert scenery, include Death Valley in to your driving itinerary. We have some great USA fly dri...

48hrs in Hong Kong with Escape Worldwide

Hong Kong is a great place to include in a Far East itinerary, and you can see much of it in a fairly short time - here's our guide of how to make the most of a short trip to this fascinating destination! DAY 1 - MORNING The best way to get your bearings in Hong Kong is on the Star Ferry, so wherever you're staying get yourself to the ferry pier and catch a ferry across Victoria Harbour - probably the most spectacular ferry Star Ferry arriving at the Central Piercrossing in the world, and at just a few pence it's a bargain too! Before you board, though, get yourself an Octopus card for reduced price travel throughout the city. If you end up on Hong Kong Island take the walkway from the pier towards to the mid levels escalators, a series of escalators that take you up the side of the hill, passing through daily life in the process. Nearby, catch the 120-year old tram to Victoria Peak, Hong Kong's highest point, from where you can look down on the rest of the...

Happy New Year from Escape Worldwide

A Happy New Year from everyone at Escape Worldwide. We had a great 2012 and we all managed to travel tons, all in the name of research of course. Mark went to Mauritius which he loved and saw loads of properties. He was particularly taken by the Long Beach Resort Mauritius  which he found was of a great standard with a good all inclusive package and also good sized rooms. So much so he's planning to go back next year on his own holiday. He also went to Kenya again and as well as going on safari he also visited the brand new Swahili Beach Hotel in Mombasa  which is a stunning 5* resort on Mombasa's south coast and if a great standard, cascading swimming pools and great restaurants. Karen also made it to Kenya last year and went on safari on the Masai Mara  and also Amboseli National Park  which she hadn't visited before and simply loved being in the foothills of Kilimanjaro. I managed to travel a fair bit, I made it to Mauritius , Taba in Egypt , Koh Sam...
